Wumi Iledare is the Chirota and Emmanuel Egbogah Distinguished Professor and Director of Emerald Energy Insititute, University of Port Harcourt, Nigera and Emeritus Professor at LSU Center for Energy Studies. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the International Institute of Petroleum, Energy Law and Policy (IIPELP) Iledare is a Past President and Senior Fellow of the United States Association for Energy Economis (USAEE), the 2014 President of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), and a Distinguished Fellow of the Nigerian Association for Energy Economics (NAEE). Iledare is a recipent of SPE regional award for distinguished contribution to petroleum engineering in the area of management and information.
Samuel Egube is an Engineering graduate from the University of Benin and he holds an Executive Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Navarra, Barcelona. Samuel has also worked in Arthur Andersen & Company (now KPMG professionals), United Bank for Africa Plc, NNB International Bank, First Bank Nigeria Plc and other financial institutions both as a consultant and staff where he held various key positions and gained significant experience in Banking, Consulting and Engineering. Sam is an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM), a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), registered member of the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and honorary senior member of Chartered Institute of Bankers. He has attended various local and international courses including management programs at IESE (Spain), INSEAD (France) and Wharton (USA). Some of his core competencies include: Project Finance Evaluation/Structuring; Business Development and Relationship Management; Financial Management and Strategy; Operations Evaluation and Optimisation; Training and Motivational Speaking.
Deen Solebo is Head of Corporate Finance at Oando Plc, overseeing all capital raising and M&A activities for the group. Deen has over 13 years of combined of financing and investment banking experience. Prior to Oando, Deen was a founding partner and Managing Director at Yellowtree Partners. In his role, Deen led origination of development projects in energy and infrastructure, in West and West Central Africa. He was consultant and advisor to – and co-project developer with – Africa focused international project developers.
Prior to Yellowtree, Deen was a Director of Global Energy Structured Finance at WestLB AG where he led energy related debt and equity finance and advisory with expertise in conventional power generation, renewable energy, electric transmission, and mid-stream oil and gas projects; and a client roster including energy focused PE firms, project developers, IPPs and utilities. In 4 years at WestLB, Deen was involved in over $5.2 BN in project and leverage financings to support energy projects in excess of $7.3 BN in capital costs.
Prior to WestLB, Deen worked at Rothschild Inc., where among other roles; he helped advice on the successful reorganization of United Airlines Inc. (then the 8th largest bankruptcy in U.S. history). Prior to Rothschild, Deen was a banker at Goldman Sachs and Giuliani Capital. Some of his previous transactions involved: Northwestern Corp., Solutia Inc., Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Elan Corp, Sivensa S.A., Solutia Europe, Mash Supermarkets, and Petroleum Geo Services.
Deen graduated magna cum laude from American University with a B.Sc. in Leadership Studies and Yale University with an MBA focused in Finance and Strategy.
