Dr Dakuku Adol Peterside is the Director General & CEO of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), also the Chairman Association of African Maritime Administrations (AAMA)
He obtained his Doctorate Degree in Management Science (Organizational Behaviour) from the University Of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Similarly, he has attended high level management and leadership courses at notable schools such as: Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University USA; Kellog School of Management, Chicago, J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia-Atlanta to mention but a few.
Prior to his assumption of duties as the Director-General of NIMASA, Dr. Peterside has served in various leadership capacities; as a Legislator at the National Assembly (House of Representative) and was the Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream). He was the Rivers State Commissioner of Works during the tenure of Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
He also chairs the Governing Board, Centre for Transport and Logistics, University of Port-Harcourt.
At NIMASA, Dr. Peterside has initiated several reforms to transform the Maritime Industry of which positive outcomes have earned the Agency and him honours and exceptional commendations from the Tell Magazine, City People Magazine and the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to mention a few.
Dr Dakuku Peterside has presented quite a number of scholarly papers in several countries on Oil and Gas, Maritime, Leadership, Corporate Political Strategy and Reform of Government Institutions as well on a number of topical issues affecting our Maritime Domain.
