Igo is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, with a first degree in Accounting from ABU Zaria. He started his working career in an audit firm and rose quickly to become a key resource for the firm. Led several audits and consultancy assignments before joining Shell in March, 1997, and describes his Shell career as “exciting and eventful”. In Shell he started as a Budget Accountant, had a stint in Petroleum Economics and moved to the Governance and Risk Assurance organization where he successfully led the SPDC SOx Implementation project before returning to the Finance Function as Head Budgets & Financial Planning. In this role, he successfully worked with several internal and external stakeholders to deliver some key process improvement initiatives. He was appointed GM NCD in September 2011. In this new role, he has led some key capacity development initiatives including the Contractors’ Funding Scheme, OEMs Domestication, Global Nigerian Program and Shell/PETAN Internship.
Igo is married with three children and loves football, music and reading.
