Kanya just concluded work with IEA on the African Focus (World Energy Outlook 2014) as pair reviewer. This is after participating in various programmes and workshop in the entire month of April 2014 in Paris. An oil & Gas economist, Kanya acquired additional skills in Oil & Gas commercial strategies, commodities price forecasting and simulations using palisade from University of Dundee Scotland. In winter of 2007 Kanya joined Alpine Investment services and was seconded to Geometric Alpine (a US$4.7 billion proposed integrated power project of Alpine Investment and Geometric Power Nigeria) as a top management steering committee member. Kanya has acquired advanced skills in economic/financial modelling on energy and project implementation in constructing a bankable energy projects through construction of satisfactory financial model and information memorandum. His vast banking practice affords him a core competence in critical financial service delivery and financial engineering.
