 The event was officially opened by Andrew Yakubu, Group Managing Director,  NNPC, who commented,

H E Diezani Alison-Madueke, Minister of Petroleum Resources, Federal Republic of Nigeria, gave the ministerial address highlighting the theme of the 13th Annual Nigeria Oil & Gas Conference and its relevance to the current state of the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

“I urge you to sustain this conference series as you have done in the past.  I thank the members of the organizing committee for their hard work in making today possible.”
